I am an. award-winning journalist (photographer & reporter) and part of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize Finalist team in Breaking News. As a photographer, I covered everything from grip and grins and professional sports to police actions and forest fires. As an investigative reporter, I covered many topics from political fraud to police misconduct to organized crime (Medicare fraud, identity theft, etc). I won the 2005 Florida Press Club's Frances DeVore Award for my exposure of a secret toxic city dump in the middle of a densely residential area. After my disability, I chose stories I know that I can complete under deadlines. I still have access to many of my contacts, though my national contacts dried up after I left AHNMedia, a newswire service.
