The final Holy Week observation for a church that’s been an inspiration to the faithful for so many decades. Scranton’s Nativity of Our Lord Church saw its pews full of people for Holy Thursday mass. They were there to celebrate the last super and the final Holy Week celebration at the parish before it closes its doors in a few months.

  • Luzerne County cemetery closed after bridge collapse

    By Gianna Galli| WYOU-TV (Wilkes-Barre, PA) Verified DALLAS, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Visitation hours at a Luzerne County cemetery are on pause. The only access point in and out of the graveyard collapsed last week. The entrance into Fern Knoll Burial Park in Dallas is destroyed. The bridge, serving as the only access point, collapsed last week. One woman who has family buried there hopes a solution can be found soon, as she still learns to deal with her husband’s death.
