People were asked to leave their homes in Evesham Street, Alcester, on Tuesday after a smell of gas was reported to Cadent. The gas company said the leak had been fixed but operatives would stay on site until residents returned home. Dave Tucker said he returned home on Tuesday evening to find "blue flashing lights and emergency vehicles on the street".
