Gino Terrell is a dynamic journalist, who has received recognition for both his writing and photography. He's best known for his sports reporting and entertainment coverage. Terrell’s most recent award was a third place finish at the 2020 National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards for Best Action Photography. At the LA Press Club’s 2019 SoCal Journalism Awards he was a second place finisher for Best TV Personality Profile for a feature story on celebrity hairstylist and LA Hair reality star Kim Kimble. In 2018, Terrell was nominated for two professional National Arts & Entertainment Awards via LA Press Club. In 2017, Terrell was notably named the National Association of Black Journalists Student Journalist of the Year in part for founding and serving as the Editor-in-Chief of Pipers In-Depth magazine (an award-winning student magazine serving his alma matter). Terrell covered Minnesota’s arts scene under Twin Cities Daily Planet (2014-15). He also freelanced for MinnPost and interned at Pioneer Press, KSTP TV (the Minneapolis ABC News Affiliate), Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, AdoptAClassroom.org, Hamline Midway Elders and American Public Media Group.
