A jury rejected a manslaughter charge but found Tracey Nix guilty of leaving seven-month-old Uriel Schock in a car and causing bodily harm. Nix apologized to her daughter, Uriel's mother, saying she tried to take her own life when she discovered the seven month old dead in the car in 2022. Uriel's brother, Nix's grandson Ezra, drowned while in her care in 2021 but she was not charged in that case.

Bradenton police spokesperson Meredith Censullo says the damage to three Teslas totals around seven thousand dollars, enough to qualify as a felony criminal mischief case. Detectives have video from one of the Teslas as well as some surveillance video of the suspect's car.
