Biography
My name is Grayson Mask and I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. I’ve graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in finance and have been working since then in the alcohol industry as a sales analyst. Dealing with anxiety and depression, I’ve always had difficulty meeting new people. This used to have a large impact on my social circle and professional life. Eventually in college, I decided enough was enough and began to work on building my confidence. I networked with Dallas professionals, joined local organizations, volunteered for important causes, and worked on becoming a new me. I’m currently pursuing this new blog to highlight people in the DFW community who have drive, perspective, and unique insight. How will their organizations and industries change post-COVID and how will they as individuals adapt? The Platinum Mask started off a blog concept around August 2020, in the heart of the covid-19 pandemic. The written format interviewed local professionals on how they were adapting to the shifting environment and what long-term changes were they forecasting. The interviews have ranged amongst coffee shops, therapists, nurses, attorneys, business owners, and much more. This blog format became different compared to other local blogs due to the deep diving research involved and the thought provoking questions issued. Each article used national news topics to motivate the interviewee on various topics, which has help spark lively conversations. The Platinum Mask was then featured in similar platforms like Voyage Dallas, Everyonecast Podcast, and Shoutout DFW. Due to the podcast’s success, Grayson has been able to speak on the importance of creativity at local schools like Tarrant County College and Birdsville School District. Around 6 months after the launch of the blog, Grayson Mask added the podcast series called “ThePlatinumMask”. The premise was around the same idea of using quality research, insightful questions, and related current event topics to further an idea. This podcast has expanded outside the local Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and has guests from across the country. Grayson Mask uses his platform to bring out the best possible version of each guest as they speak on their passions.

By Grayson Mask| VISIBLE Magazine@ The Resile One Foundation is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area (est. 2022). Their mission is to empower, encourage and provide relief to middle class families who are facing medical hardship. I’m excited that Yolanda Tyler decided to sit down and speak with me. Grayson Mask: My first question is, before starting your organization, were you born and raised in the DFW area, or are you from somewhere else?
By Grayson Mask| VISIBLE Magazine@ The SERUN Foundation, founded by media professional and activist O’Neil Hesson, is committed to revitalizing and empowering marginalized communities in urban settings through environmental action and civic engagement. Originally inspired by Hesson’s increasing involvement in politics during the 2020 election cycle, the foundation grew from a desire to address issues that directly impact communities of color, especially within Dallas’ District 7.
By Grayson Mask| VISIBLE Magazine@ Cathy Taylor started Journey4ward in 2013 following the terrible death of her son from gun violence. Taylor founded her group in an attempt to assist herself and others in overcoming the trauma of losing loved ones to violence because she was having trouble finding enough resources and assistance. A community-driven project that began as a small group of neighborhood moms grew to fill the gaps in trauma-informed therapy and offer complete support services to victims of violent crimes.
