(Gray News) - Video released Thursday shows a United States Coast Guard helicopter rescuing a man left clinging to a cooler 30 miles off the coast of Florida following Hurricane Milton. The Coast Guard said in a news release that crews around 5:30 a.m. began searching for the missing captain of fishing vessel Capt. Dave. The captain had reported on Monday that the ship was disabled and he and a crew member were stranded about 20 miles from John’s Pass.

(Gray News) - Crews in Tennessee worked Friday to rescue more than 50 people who were trapped on the roof of a hospital following catastrophic flooding caused by Hurricane Helene. Helicopters were being brought in to rescue the 54 people on the roof, a mixture of employees and patients. Ballad Health said in a news release that emergency management officials began evacuation efforts at Unicoi County Hospital just before 10 a.m. due to the rapidly rising Nolichucky River nearby.

Agents say they found the items when they stopped a vehicle being driven by a 43-year-old woman, who is a U.S. citizen. They did not identify the woman.
