Biography

Hannah writes about energy and environmental policy. She has covered debates about exports of domestic gas and the proliferation of new infrastructure, major market shifts affecting the U.S. electric grid, leadership changes at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and nuclear policy and waste issues. Before joining E&E in 2011, she was a political and regulatory reporter at Argus Media in Washington, D.C. Before that, she worked as a reporter for several news outlets in Virginia and Michigan, including The Ann Arbor News, Lansing State Journal and Michigan Public Radio. She frequently appears on E&ETV and recently completed fellowships in Japan and Detroit. She holds a master's degree in environmental journalism from Michigan State University's Knight Center, where she graduated with honors in 2007.
