Reporter, Fort Worth Star-Telegram

Fort Worth

Biography

I'm the city hall reporter for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram in Fort Worth, Texas. I previously covered fact-checkers and fact-checking at the International Fact Checking Network at the Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, FL, and I covered the Indian Country beat and worked as a general assignment reporter for Cronkite News- Arizona PBS. I also shoot stills and video for my own stories and those of my colleagues. My goal is to move into more investigative work telling stories that empower everyday people to participate in their communities. I did my undergraduate studies at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts where I specialized in Film Production and Camera Work. I excelled academically, and my thirst for learning garnered me the honor of Magna Cum Laude upon graduation. I furthered my education earning a Masters Degree while studying journalism at Arizona State University's Cronkite School
