On average, 5 to 7 cases of fire are being reported daily in the city. To deal with this serious issue, the fire department has started taking necessary steps. Chief Fire Officer V. B Yadav said today that the department is fully prepared to handle fire emergencies. All fire equipment has been checked, and coordination has been done with the Jal Sansthan for regular water supply.

However, there is some relief as the number of road accidents has decreased in the first two months of 2025. According to data from the SSP’s office, road accidents have dropped by 30% compared to the same period last year. In January and February of 2024, Dehradun recorded 91 accidents, while this year, the number has reduced to 65.
