Biography
Hassan Abdulsalam is a sports journalist with Pulse Nigeria, spanning over five years of practice with sports reporting awards to his name. Abdulsalam is one of the 12 Young Reporters selected by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) to cover the World university Games in Chengdu, China. He is the founder of Naira Sports - a national-based sports platform and a community based media, Ibeju Lekki Voice. As a journalist who values the importance of professional bodies in the media space, Abdulsalam is a member of several professional bodies including; the Sports Writers Association Of Nigeria (SWAN), the Nigeria Union Of Journalists (NUJ), and the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) among others. He holds a degree in Mass Communication and has covered several local and international sports competitions. From his undergraduate days, Abdulsalam had been championing media courses, where he became the President of multi-award-winning Press Club MAPOLY in 2021 and the South West Regional Coordinator of the National Union of Campus Journalists in 2019.
