Biography

I love a good story. And any story about adventurous women is even better. Growing up, I imagined my young self exploring the Serengeti or flying high above the Amazon. I was gonna get out in the world and I did. I am an Emmy and Peabody Award-winning journalist, filmmaker and sustainable travel writer. I have covered climate change over the past 20 years, reporting from Greenland, to Papua New Guinea and many countries in between. No Ordinary Life, a feature documentary film I directed about five pioneering camerawomen, premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and aired on CNN in 2022. I was also a producer and writer on the 2022 Paramount + docuseries, Wasteland. For the Discovery Channel, I traveled to Bikini Atoll to direct a shark conservation special with Philippe Cousteau Jr. and came back with all my fingers. With CNN Presents, the award-winning documentary series, I directed, produced and wrote dozens of documentaries. For over a decade I spearheaded projects for CNN around the world, from melting glaciers in Greenland, to conflicts across the Middle East, to the danger journalists face covering the drug trade in Mexico. I directed, wrote and produced CNN’s Planet in Peril series, where I traveled with Anderson Cooper and Dr. Sanjay Gupta across China, Papua New Guinea, Central Africa and other countries to investigate the impact of climate change. I also produced Christiane Amanpour's award-winning documentary Generation Islam. I've earned more than a dozen journalism awards, including three Emmy Awards and multiple Peabody Awards.
