Jason Nemes (R-Middletown) to allow the state to destroy cars used in street takeovers came up just short this year. Deemed the "car crushing" bill, House Bill 465, would have cracked down on illegal street racers, but it failed to get the full Kentucky Senate’s approval needed to become law. And it appears the crushing element, which would have applied on a second offense, was the sticking point.
