Biography

A student journalist at The University of Stirling with an interest in food writing, social media and digital journalism. I have worked with Brig Newspaper (Stirling University's student newspaper) as Food Editor, Head of Social Media and currently Editor-in-Chief. I revitalised the food section and increased output by 1650% in a year by diversifying content and leading a new team of writers. As Head of Social Media, we employed an Instagram-led strategy to effectively reach students. We created graphics, Reels and posted regularly which led to an increased reach of 490%. Additionally, I have worked with Air3 Radio (Stirling University's student radio station) as Secretary and Head of Publicity. I have had work experience with The Courier/Evening Telegraph and The Border Telegraph/Peebleshire News.

• Watch as derelict Stirling city centre pub is demolished

The Lower Bridge Street eyesore was razed by contractors on Wednesday (April 16). Plans to replace the building with student flats are currently being considered by Stirling Council. The former pub, which most recently traded as Jackie’s Bar and O’Shaughnessy’s Bar, has been boarded up for several years. An application requesting to knock the eyesore building down was submitted by PCM Property Investment in July 2024.
