The Daily Princetonian

The Daily Princetonian, known as the 'Prince', is the independent student newspaper of Princeton University. Established in 1876, it has been publishing daily since 1892, making it one of the oldest student-run newspapers in the U.S. The newspaper is managed entirely by students and operates as a not-for-profit entity, allowing it to maintain editorial independence from the university. The Daily Princetonian offers comprehensive news coverage on various aspects of university life, including student affairs, local events, and academic updates. It features opinion pieces and commentary, providing a platform for diverse perspectives. The publication has transitioned to a digital-first approach, making its content accessible online while still offering print editions. Additionally, it houses the Larry DuPraz Digital Archives, a searchable database of its content from 1876 to 2002, which serves as a valuable resource for historical research. The newspaper primarily serves the Princeton community, including students, faculty, and alumni, fostering connections within the university.
