Sunday night around 10:20 the Blue Earth Police Department received a call of two gunshot victims who had been admitted to the United Hospital District emergency room. In a release, the department said the two victims of the incident were 20 year old Alexia Andreoff and 19 year old Luis Hernandez both of Blue Earth.

According to the Minnesota Department of Education, MAPS is among 21 other districts receiving $1-million dollars in grant money. The money is thanks in part to the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act which allows the U-S Department of Education to distribute funds across the country to help improve the academic success of homeless students.
