Biography
With over seven years of sports media experience as a digital content creator, I've earned several awards in my time as a writer, reporter, editor, and social media manager. Currently, I cover all things Baylor athletics as a sportswriter and podcaster for The Baylor Lariat, primarily focusing on football, men's and women's basketball, and volleyball. I've written stories on everything from national championship-winning coaches to new developments in Acrobatics & Tumbling. Additionally, I co-host the award-winning Don't Feed The Bears podcast, delivering weekly, in-depth analysis on Baylor sports. As Director of Content for Look! Livestreams – awarded the best high school football broadcast in Texas by Dave Campbell's Texas Football – I'm tasked with crafting an immersive social media experience for one of the most successful football teams in our football-crazed state. Under my leadership during the 2022 season, we garnered over 1.23 million social media impressions across YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook, while increasing Look!'s social media following 223.6%. I also serve as the Look!'s Director of Sales and Operations, ensuring sponsor satisfaction and operational efficiency while managing the company's Lorena High School branch. My previous experience includes working in Baylor media as a beat writer for Sports Illustrated's Inside The Bears, as well as covering the NBA for Fadeaway World and high school sports for the Valley Ventana, Ranger Recruiting and Aelius Media. In my time with the Valley Ventana, I earned several state- and national-level awards, including three UIL Press Conference state titles for excellence in writing. I also helped lead the Ventana to its first-ever School Newspapers Online “Distinguished Site” honor, placing it among the top 60 school newspapers in the country.

By Jackson Posey Verified| The Baylor Lariat Verified By Jackson Posey | Sports Writer After a disappointing season from 3-point land, Baylor went fishing for sharpshooters. Wyoming's Obi Agbim (17.6 PPG, 43.7% from three) will lead that group. Oregon State's Michael Rataj (16.9 PPG, 35.1% 3PT) will contribute from orbit as well. And while that duo handles primary creator responsibilities, it'll be former Omaha guard JJ White (13.7 PPG, 44.2% 3PT) sliding into the off-ball shooter and secondary playmaker role vacated by Jayden Nunn.
By Jackson Posey Verified| The Baylor Lariat Verified By Jackson Posey | Sports Writer For the first time since the pandemic-shortened 2019-20 season, Baylor men's basketball finished with an offense ranked outside the top 100. Clearly, head coach Scott Drew isn't about to let that happen again. Star freshmen VJ Edgecombe and Robert O. Wright III are headed out the door to the NBA draft and BYU, respectively. Gone are seniors Norchad Omier, Jayden Nunn and Jeremy Roach, as are utilitymen Jalen Celestine and Langston Love.
