By Jade Steffens Verified| Our Community Now@ Share OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A snowstorm hit the Midwest over the weekend, dumping over a foot of snow in southeast Nebraska and northwest Missouri. But there was little to no snow for a majority of the First Alert 6 viewing area, including the Omaha metro. In fact, Falls City, Neb., received over a foot more snow than Dunbar, Neb. — two towns only 45 miles apart. The most snow recorded in our area was in Mound City, Missouri at 14 inches.

Moderate drought has spread across areas north and south/southwest of the metro with abnormally dry conditions covering a large portion of the area as well. This is a big change from just two and a half months ago! On July 9th, Iowa was completely drought free with a majority of the state of Nebraska drought free as well.
