Biography

I am a freelance journalist and a podcaster. I have written over 100 articles over the past three years for the Daily 49er, DIG Magazine, the Pasadena Star, Whittier Daily News, and the Long Beach Post. I have written about higher education, fashion, student government and Long Beach community-based issues. In 2019, I received third place at the Los Angeles Press Club awards for my coverage on Cal State Long Beach's decision to change its mascot after years of protest from local indigenous populations. My news podcast on the Indigenous history of the grounds of Cal State Long Beach received an honorable mention for a Pacemaker Award. I love stories. I love telling them, and I love listening to them. If you have a story tip, send it my way!
