  • The Weather Authority: Scattered showers/storms mainly over North/Central Alabama

By James Spann Verified| WBMA-TV (Birmingham, AL) Verified RADAR CHECK: Scattered showers and thunderstorms persist over North Alabama early this morning ahead of a stalled surface front near the Alabama/Tennessee border. We will maintain the chance of a few passing showers or storms over the northern half of the state through tomorrow with more clouds than sun. A shower or thunderstorm is possible today over South Alabama as well, but they will be fewer in number. Highs will be generally in the upper 70s today, followed by low 80s tomorrow.

  • James Spann: A few showers, storms for Alabama through Wednesday; afternoons stay warm

By James Spann Verified| Alabama NewsCenter Verified RADAR CHECK: We have scattered showers and thunderstorms across the northern half of Alabama at mid-afternoon, but much of the state is enjoying a partly sunny day with temperatures in the 80s. Showers and storms are most numerous in a broad band from Huntsville to Fayette; they are moving eastward. Showers will fade after sunset, but some rain will remain possible through the night in scattered spots.
