Tate Reeves. District Attorney Tim Cotton said the Sixth Circuit District, of which Adams County is a part, remains intact but will add Pike County. At present, the district includes Adams, Wilkinson, Amite, and Franklin counties. The new district alignment will be phased in beginning in 2027.

The Town of Vidalia has scheduled a system-wide electrical shutdown on Wednesday from 11 p.m. to 3 a.m. to perform required maintenance on the Vidalia Substation. According to a press release, residents and businesses in Vidalia will have no electrical service. Town officials are asking the community to take proactive steps to prepare for the outage.
