Some believed in supporting the efforts of the department of Parks and Recreation. Others were planting in memory of a family member. Employees from a local real estate company, Red Bird Realty, came en mass, because, "trees help us breathe." In all, seven young trees were planted and will soon have their identification bricks placed at their base.

Staff from the Stewart C. Meyer Library in Harker Heights had a table set up at the festival and gave out tiny kits for creating anything they wanted on a three-inch disc. Some designed their discs with unique colors and lines. All of the creations were hung on a display of tiny art during the festival.
