The proposition will be listed as Proposition A on the May 3 election. It’s been voted on twice before. Back in November 2021, it missed approval by 67 votes. Cameron County officials pushed for it again in May 2022, but it ultimately lost by 200 votes.

At Cris Auto Service in McAllen, a line of cars is still waiting to be worked on. The flooding that swept the Rio Grande Valley happened nearly two weeks ago. Many cars suffered flood damage after being stalled on the side of the road and abandoned.
