Warner made the visit as part of a tour through the southwestern and Roanoke Valley portions of the state. Several attendees wanted to know what Congress could or would do to tamp down on what they called the lawlessness of the Trump administration. “Americans want to know when we’ll return to the rule of law,” one attendee told the senator.

Marion Police say they responded to the 700 block of First Street to reports of a possible gunshot wound around 2 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the upper shoulder. During the investigation, police determined the incident was a domestic dispute that resulted in the man’s wife, 41-year-old Amanda Davis, firing at and striking the man.
