Warner made the visit as part of a tour through the southwestern and Roanoke Valley portions of the state. Marion Police say they responded to the 700 block of First Street to reports of a possible gunshot wound around 2 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the upper shoulder. During the investigation, police determined the incident was a domestic dispute that resulted in the man’s wife, 41-year-old Amanda Davis, firing at and striking the man.
