Biography

Jason LeValley caught the rock n’ roll fever around the age of 13 and continues to have an insatiable ear for new music. He’s booked bands at clubs, most notably Tempe’s legendary Cannery Row, and helped raise thousands of dollars for charitable organizations through multiple multi-band benefit shows. LeValley has a Master’s degree in Counseling from Santa Clara University, has a background in mental health, and spent 20 years working as a high school counselor. He started writing about music way back in 1995 and has contributed articles to multiple publications. In 2015, he founded an independent, award-winning radio station called Downtown Radio (KTDT), for which he served as the executive director for the first four and a half years of its existence. In April of 2021, LeValley founded Psychedelic Scene Magazine, an online publication that focuses on psychedelic music, art, and the psychedelic experience itself. Recently, he started freelancing for the Phoenix New Times music section. Even more recently, he became Music Editor at Screen Rant.
