While no members would likely be itching to swim in April, it still seems an unconventional method to protect the pool. But rather than removing the cover as temperatures (hopefully) warm in the coming weeks, the USGA is set to start building on top of it — because a temporary structure above the pool will house hospitality for the organization’s executives and guests during the U.S. Open on June 12 to 15.
