In the evening, Michigan forward Sam Walters announced he plans to transfer to the Bulldogs. He'll have two seasons of eligibility remaining. Walters averaged 5 points and 1.6 rebounds per game over the 23 games he played this past season. He last played on Feb. 8 due to a back injury. Walters spent the 2024-25 season, his freshman season, at Alabama. He played in all 27 games off the bench and averaged 5.4 points per game.

  • Amier Ali Transferring to Bulldogs

    By Jason Stamm| BVM Sports Verified Mississippi State has dipped into the NCAA Transfer Portal once again. On Thursday, forward Amier Ali told multiple media outlets he plans to transfer from Arizona State to the Bulldogs. He'll have three seasons of eligibility remaining. Ali started four of the 29 games he played this past season for the Sun Devils. He averaged 5.8 points and 3.2 rebounds over 20.2 minutes per game. Ali was a member of Arizona State's 2024 class out of Canyon International Academy (Ariz.).

  • Quincy Ballard Transferring to State

    By Jason Stamm| BVM Sports Verified A day after it lost center Keyshawn Murphy to the transfer portal, Mississippi State has a replacement. On Wednesday, center Quincy Ballard announced he plans to transfer to the Bulldogs from Wichita State. He'll have one season of eligibility remaining. Ballard spent the past three seasons at Wichita State. This season, he started all 33 games, averaged 10 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. The previous season, he started all 34 games and averaged 7.4 points and six rebounds per game.
