Biography

I’m a photographer based in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina specializing in commercial, editorial, portrait, news, and sports. I have been shooting since 1992 when I learned to shoot on film. I am a member of the NPPA and my images have been published online in several outlets, as you can see in my portfolio on muckrack. Clients love my professionalism, reliability, quality, sense of urgency, and attention to detail, including meeting the ever important budget requirements. I transmit on-site and on-time with proper captioning to provide a comprehensive overview of the event for my clients. When not shooting for the wire, I love to connect with my subjects and have fun on the assignment while ensuring the work gets done as well as possible. My business is insured and I can provide a certificate/proof of insurance as needed. Sports photography is my favorite type of photography to shoot, probably because I am a former NCAA Division I baseball student-athlete I love making images to tell the story visually, and completely understand the blood, sweat, and tears that were shed for the athlete to get to that point in their career. Although sports are my favorite subject, commercial, editorial, and portrait comprise a much larger portion of my business. On a personal level, I’m from the midwest originally and previously lived in California for a little over a decade and Boston for six years. I’m married to a wonderful wife with two kids and a dog and we currently live in Cary, North Carolina and can travel throughout the eastern US and worldwide when on commission.
