By Jayden Nguyen Verified| CT Insider Verified Spring has just begun, but several summertime restaurants in Connecticut are already setting their opening dates for the 2025 season. Located in Newtown, Ferris Acres Creamery announced its opening date on its social media pages and website on Thursday. The ice cream stand will open for "the most wonderful time of the year" on May 6 at 11 a.m., according to the creamery's Instagram page.
