Jaylan Salah Salman is an Egyptian poet, translator, two-time national literary award winner, animal lover, feminist, film critic, and philanthropist. She has published film criticism articles, short stories, poems, and translations in many websites and offline publications such as "TheCherryPicks", "Vague Visages", "Synchronized Chaos", “The Gay Gaze”, "Cinema Femme Magazine", " Eye on Cinema" and "Guardian Liberty Voice". She Won the “Bleed on the Page” Competition for Poetry and Prose for her piece titled “Poof, Vagina” Her first poetry collection in English, “Work Station Blues”, was published by PoetsIN, a British publishing house with the purpose of destigmatizing mental illness and supporting international artists. Her second poetry book "Bury my Womb on the West Bank", was published in 2021 by Third Eye Butterfly Press and available on Amazon in both ebook and paperback formats. She recently participated in the Art & Mind project (ātac gallery, Framingham, Massachusetts) with her poetry. She translated four books, Mohamed Khan: Searching for a Knight from Arabic to English for the Cairo International Film Festival 38th Edition, "Skandar and the Unicorn Thief" from English to Arabic from Simon & Schuster, the Non-Obvious Guide to Marketing & Branding by Rohit Bhargava from English to Arabic, and Sell! Since Adéla Komrzý’s and Tomáš Bojar’s hilarious cinéma vérité works along the same vein, viewers anticipate more than a boring sampling admissions process. Art Talent Show is about the tedious journeys to Prague’s prestigious, exclusive Academy of Fine Arts.

So as I discover the new Hulu series Under the Bridge that has nothing to do with my favorite teen rock band, I secretly hope that teen angst and morbidity are part of its intricate world. It doesn’t disappoint. Under The Bridge is a miniseries adapted from the non-fiction book of the same name by Rebecca Godfrey.
