During the early morning of June 20th, police and works department staff were called to the newly painted Pride Crosswalk in downtown Owen Sound after it was intentionally defaced by two individuals. This incident occurred just days after Pride Crosswalks in other jurisdictions of Ontario have had similar crimes committed.
