Not doing so can cause problems for people, especially senior citizens, who may be on multiple medications. “It’s the same way with medicines. Sometimes we can accumulate medicines on top of medicines, but we need to stop, kind of go through it all,” said Dr. Laurie Archbald-Pannone, geriatric physician with the University of Virginia Medical Center.
