By Jeanne Rawdin| La Jolla Light Verified A new online app is the latest strategy intended to give Bird Rock merchants an economic shot in the arm. Bird Rock Perks was launched April 10 with 26 local merchants participating, and that number is expected to grow. The app was demonstrated at the Bird Rock Community Council meeting April 9. The idea is that any paid member of the Community Council can sign up for the app and get discounts and other deals from Bird Rock businesses.
