Biography

Jeffrey James "JJ" Keyes co-authored the New York Times bestseller Killer Chef with James Patterson. He contributes travel and lifestyle features for a variety of publications. A graduate of Columbia University’s MFA Playwriting Program, his plays have been developed or featured at SoHo Playhouse, the Old Vic/Old Vic New Voices, 59E59, the Ensemble Studio Theatre, Laguna Beach High School, Rogue Machine Theatre, and the Prologue Theatre. He has additionally worked as a producer for MTV's "True Life" and the Sundance Channel's "Revealing" and developed and produced the "Out in GayCities" travel web series with Q. Digital/GayCities, partnering with companies such Lexus and Visit New Orleans. He was an inaugural recipient of the PEN America L’Engle/Rahman Prize for mentorship.
