Brad Little’s Idaho Launch program may have helped boost the figure, but the go-on rate still fell short of the State Board of Education’s goal to have 60% of graduates or more go directly on to higher education.

The House Ways and Means Committee — a catchall panel made up largely of GOP and Democratic leadership — quickly introduced the bill during an early morning meeting Friday. Graduation requirements now reside in Idaho Department of Education rules — and the Legislature can approve or reject rule changes.
