By Jerry Omondi| CGTN Africa Verified Ethiopia’s Council of Ministers on Tuesday endorsed an 801.6 billion Birr (14.66 billion U.S. dollars) draft budget for the 2023/24 Ethiopian fiscal year, the Office of the Prime Minister confirmed. The budget will now be forwarded to the House of People’s Representatives for further deliberations and formal approval. The budget proposal earmarks 369.6 billion birr (6.76 billion U.S. dollars) for the federal government’s recurrent spending.
