Biography

I used to be a teacher and also co-founded www.waterbabies.co.uk, the world’s largest baby swimming company. Now I write novels and feature articles for both local and national magazines. Examples of these my work can be found here https://jessmorency.com/features/ Locally, I write about people and towns; nationally I tend to focus on articles about racial politics. As the mother of two mixed-raced children I want to make a positive contribution in terms of making the world a fairer place for them, and everyone. I was also responsible for the media relations for the www.dorchesterliteraryfestival. For the festival I have interviewed Sir Tim Waterstone, Tracy Chevalier, Dom Joly, Raynor Winn, Adele Parks and Sir Oliver Letwin. Always happy to be commissioned!
