(WRIC) — A family is without a home following a house fire in the Mechanicsville area of Hanover County Thursday morning. On Thursday, Jan. 23 at 12:30 a.m., Hanover County firefighters responded to a house fire on the 7400 block of River Valley Road. Hanover County Fire Chief Chris Anderson said two people and a dog were inside the home when the fire started. Two people were able to escape, but the dog did not.

  • Chesterfield County man dies in motorcycle crash

    By Jessica Wetzler Verified| WRIC-TV (Richmond, VA) Verified CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A man is dead following a motorcylce crash in Chesterfield County Sunday night. Chesterfield County police said the crash happened around 7:05 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13th, near the intersection of West Hundred Road and Chestnut Hill Road. On scene, officers found a man who had been thrown from his motorcycle. The man was later identified as Caleb Carabin, of Chesterfield County, who was pronounced dead.
