Jessika Guse is a reporter and news anchor for 980 CJME in Regina, Saskatchewan. She describes herself as "Saskatchewan bred, Alberta raised," as her roots began in Sask.; however, lived in Calgary for the majority of her life. Guse started her career back in 2016 at a radio station in Brandon, Man. Since moving to Regina to join the award winning CJME news team, she's covered a multitude of stories across Sask. including two that gained international attention. Guse is a graduate of Lethbridge College with a diploma in Communication Arts -- Broadcast Journalism. In her spare time, Guse spoils her rescue dog Ryder, loves to browse local thrift shops and loves to bake.

Police were called to the south complex around 3 p.m. At the time, police had asked the public to avoid the area and closed off surrounding roads. According to a news release, police said there was no immediate danger to those who were at the ENMAX Centre. The final day of the International Peace Pow-wow was taking place at the time the assault occurred.
