Jill Waterman is a writer, editor, and content creator specialized in the subjects of fine arts, photography, and media. Her background in the arts include a bachelors degree in printmaking from the Massachusetts College of Art, a License degree in Fine Art from the University of Paris I, Pantheon, Sorbonne, and a masters degree in Photography from New York University. After spending more than a decade as a photo editor and art director within the field of licensed imagery, she added writing to her skill set while working for Photo District News as an editor of custom publishing projects such as the ASMP Bulletin and PDNedu. Waterman currently works as a senior creative content writer for the B&H Photo Explora blog, https://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/users/jill-waterman, and writes for Digital Photo / Digital Photo Pro magazines, among other freelance clients. When she is not writing, Waterman is an active image maker, with a special focus on night photography. Her first book, the technical volume Night and Low Light Photography, https://www.nightphotographybook.com, was published by Amphoto Books in 2006.
