Jim Clarke writes about wine and other alcoholic beverages for a number of publications both consumer and trade. He is also a columnist for Wine Review Online, and was Wine & Spirits Editor for StarChefs.com from 2004-2009. Jim is an in-demand speaker and lecturer, having appeared at a variety of events including TexSom and the Society of Wine Educators Conference. He trained as a sommelier and was formerly the wine director at Megu New York and the Armani Ristorante. Jim has a BMus from Western Washington University in Music Composition, and MMus in the same from the Royal Academy of Music in London. Outside of the world of alcoholic beverages, Jim is an amateur blacksmith and enthusiastic Dungeons & Dragons player.
