Between 2010 and 2015 the Ithaca High School football team put together one of the greatest multi-season runs in state history as the Yellow Jackets won five Division 6 state championships in a six-year span all while putting together the second-longest winning streak in state history at 69-consecutive victories.

Such is the case with the start to the 2025 regular season for the Mt. Pleasant High School softball team. Over the course of the past week the Oilers have opened the spring season by taking on three of the top-ranked teams in the state of Michigan in Grand Blanc (Ranked 10th in D1); Gaylord (Ranked 1st in D2) and Midland (HM in D1).
