  • Jim Langley: Abusing God’s Holy Word

By Jim Langley| Noozhawk Verified Many years back, our daughter set up Facebook accounts for her parents. Her mom still checks out her account most days, and actually carries on conversations with a small number of Facebook friends. Her dad is no more than a passive user of his account. I look at posts frequently, but never have communicated through the account. If I want to talk to someone, I’ll just call them on my cell phone and carry on a real conversation. Lately, I’ve been troubled by a long-time Christian brother’s posts.

  • Jim Langley: Stop Fooling Around, Folks

By Jim Langley| Noozhawk Verified Like most young boys, I got caught up in the silliness of April Fools’ Day. Playing harmless tricks and jokes on friends was pretty much expected. Then as I matured, the silliness dissipated and I quickly shrugged off the efforts of others to participate in their attempts at harmless humor. Then again, I do have some past meaningful memories of significant April Fools’ Days. Two stand out: 1981 and 1983.
