By Jim Measel Verified| WTVB-AM (Coldwater, MI) Verified COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Branch County Sheriff Fred Blankenship announced during Friday’s Branch County Board of Commissioners meeting that an agreement has been reached with Macomb County to house up to 100 inmates from that county while construction work is being performed at the Macomb County Jail over the next couple of years. Blankenship said the housing of the Macomb County inmates will start next week and that Macomb County will be charged $40 a day for every inmate.

She would as a consultant between July 1 and December 15 of this year. Administrator Frank Walsh wanted to contract with someone who has a municipal finance background to work with Deputy Administrator Jessica Miller.
