Biography
I work as a reporter at 2News (NBC) in Tulsa, Okla. Before moving to Tulsa I worked as a general assignment reporter for 23ABC in Bakersfield, Calif. working on the 5, 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts. Prior to living on the West Coast I was on the East Coast. I reported from the Washington, D.C. bureau for Cronkite News Service. At CNS, a newswire service that looks at Arizona related policy issues, I covered health, agriculture and business related stories. While at CNS I reported from the 2012 Republican National Convention and examined Arizona’s E-Verify law. While reporting from Washington, I also finished my master’s degree in mass communications at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism at Arizona State University. During the summer of 2012 I worked for News21, as part of a nationwide investigative journalism project called ‘Who Can Vote?’ examining voter rights in America. Personally, I examined the role of activist secretaries of state in the election process. I previously studied at the University of St. Thomas and earned a B.A. degree in broadcast journalism and communication studies. At St. Thomas I held several different student media positions and also interned at the Minneapolis/St. Paul NBC affiliate, KARE 11 News.
