Joe Leydon currently is senior writer for Cowboys & Indians magazine, and the website cowboysindians.com. For C&I, he has written cover story interviews with Miranda Lambert, Matthew McConaughey, Michael Greyeyes, Anson Mount, Kevin Costner, Ethan Hawke and many others, and conducted video interviews with Sam Elliott, Richard Dreyfuss, Wes Studi, LaMonica Garrett, Josh Brolin, Don McLean, Tom Blyth, Robert Earl Keen, Trace Adkins and other notables. Leydon also has been a film critic and regional correspondent for Variety since 1990, and has frequently represented the publication at film festivals and other events. From 1982 until 1995, Leydon was film critic for The Houston Post. Since the paper’s demise, he has reviewed films for MSNBC.com, NBC affiliate KPRC-TV, The Houston Press and the San Francisco Examiner; written for The Los Angeles Times, Newsday, New York Daily News, The Boston Globe, The Toronto Star, Film Comment, MovieMaker magazine and The Tennessean; and authored the book "Joe Leydon’s Guide to Essential Movies You Must See." He is a founding member of the Houston Film Critics Society, a voting Critics Choice member, and a Rotten Tomatoes certified critic. His website is MovingPictureShow.com
