JaMari Mari Bailey, 21, and Marybeth Clarisa Rodriguez, 22, are accused of causing serious bodily injury to a child, according to Harris County court records. They were arrested late Wednesday and were being held at Harris County jail morning. The child died in June 2024, seven days after being taken to an urgent care center because he appeared ill, police said.
