  • More heat, storms Wednesday

By John Walsh Verified| KSNB-TV (Hastings, NE) Verified HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Dangerous heat and areas of thunderstorms characterize the Local 4 weather outlook through Wednesday. Tuesday evening thunderstorm activity will be focused in Northern Nebraska mostly, with storms tracking southeast into eastern parts of the Local 4 area overnight. Damaging winds and a threat of hail could impact areas from Valentine to Ainsworth to O’Neill through the late evening where a Severe Thunderstorm Watch will remain in effect until 11 pm.

  • Hot weather begins to take over..

By John Walsh Verified| KSNB-TV (Hastings, NE) Verified HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - Hazy, smoke filled skies will continue this week as the month of July has finally found the thermostat and is cranking it up. An upper level ridge over the Western U. S. will begin to influence our weather as temperatures spike into the low to mid 90s on Thursday and Friday thanks to south winds. The ridge will break down a bit, heading into the weekend, as an upper level disturbance rolls through the region. That will give us our best chances for precipitation for awhile.
