By Jon Johnston Verified| Corn Nation Verified Photo by Joe Robbins/Getty Images I recently sparked a firestorm with a tweet questioning whether Nebraska fans truly support the men’s basketball team. The backlash was immediate and intense, but it revealed some important truths about the future of college sports. Serious question on a Friday - how many of you really care about this? I realize Nebraska wants to compete in every sport, but is that reality in the current landscape?

We are Jeff Bell and Aubert Demaray, professionals in the battery industry who aim to enable conversations across different players in the field of energy storage, and "speak the unspoken" of battery science. Things you don't see in a lab, things companies won't discuss. We will try to share some non-confidential lessons learned and discuss what is public with a critical eye and critical thinking. We are affectionately calling this endeavor, Battery Talk. The origins of Battery Talk began at a monthly community event called The Battery Brunch (https://www.batterybrunch.org/) where we would give presentations. Originally it was just a hobby we both enjoyed, but as we started to put in more of our time to educate the community we decided it was time to level up and give ourselves a dedicated channel on youtube which would allow us to reach a larger audience. Our vision is to provide a resource for everyone to learn about batteries, battery companies, and battery technology. We want to enable you the viewer with the ability to sift through all the media ad hype, provide a basic understanding of a technology that is omni-present in our everyday lives, and present a perspective you may not find through a simple google search. We will cover topics ranging from startup battery companies to tier 1 manufactures, battery basics to emerging R&D technologies, and round it all up with our take on current events in the battery industry. This will manifest itself in the form of several segments: Battery Basics, a show dedicated to giving lessons about batteries from fundamentals to advance concepts. Who's doing it right, a show dedicated to looking at different battery companies unique challenges, successes, and outlook. The Current, a show dedicated to giving hot takes on current events specifically related to the field of energy storage. Some of which might get spicy. We hope you enjoy all the videos we will be uploading. Thanks! Like.comment.subcribe.
