The Bears announced it has hired Ryan Trevithick, who currently coaches the Flint Powers Catholic girls varsity basketball team, to lead the program in the 2025-2026 season. Trevithick will also continue his role as head coach for the Chargers as well. Mott CC made the hiring official on Tuesday after interim head coach David Bush led the squad this past season.

Following a season where Boike averaged 23 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.8 steals, and two blocks per game, the 6-foot-3 guard was recognized as a Division 4 first-team all-state honoree by the Associated Press. Boike was the only Flint-area player to reach the Division 4 all-state list.
